Originally from a technology & engineering background I felt the need for a new career path. So in 2008 after extensive training I qualified as a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI-Car). At my last DVSA standards check I was awarded a grade A.
I am a member of the Driving Instructors Association and hold their Diamond Special Test qualification.
I hold the Signature Level 1 Award in British Sign Language.
I am an accredited ADI with the Queen Elisabeth's foundation for disabled people, which is based in Carshalton Surrey. They specialize in assessing and training people with disability to drive. This includes both physical and neurological conditions.
As an aside and to complement my on-road training I achieved a Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills, a vocationally related qualification from Northbrook college in Worthing.
I am committed to 'continuing professional development' and as such regularly attend industry courses and seminars to keep my skill set up to date and relevant.
Other areas of driver training that I have been involved in include 'young driver' at the Goodwood motor circuit and 'off road' training for clients in the beautiful countryside of the Goodwood estate. I also conducted speed awareness courses for the West Sussex Driver Training unit.
I will coach you to become a safe driver for life.
